خدا سے مانگ جو کچھ مانگنا ہے اے اکبرؔ
یہی وہ در ہے کہ ذلت نہیں سوال کے بعد
ḳhudā se maañg jo kuchh māñgnā hai ai ‘akbar’
yahī vo dar hai ki zillat nahīñ savāl ke ba.ad
تیری بخشش کے بھروسے پہ خطائیں کی ہیں
تیری رحمت کے سہارے نے گنہ گار کیا
terī baḳhshish ke bharose pe ḳhatā.eñ kī haiñ
terī rahmat ke sahāre ne gunahgār kiyā
گناہ گن کے میں کیوں اپنے دل کو چھوٹا کروں
سنا ہے تیرے کرم کا کوئی حساب نہیں
gunāh gin ke maiñ kyuuñ apne dil ko chhoTā karūñ
sunā hai tere karam kā koī hisāb nahīñ
گل غنچے آفتاب شفق چاند کہکشاں
ایسی کوئی بھی چیز نہیں جس میں تو نہ ہو
gul ġhunche āftāb shafaq chāñd kahkashāñ
aisī koī bhī chiiz nahīñ jis meñ tū na ho
ہیں وقف جان و دل مرے اس کام کے لیے

haiñ vaqf jān-o-dil mire is kaam ke liye
paḌhiye darūd rahbar-e-islām ke liye

کیسی زمیں بنائی کیا آسماں بنایا
tārīf us ḳhudā kī jis ne jahāñ banāyā
kaisī zamīñ banā.ī kyā āsmāñ banāyā
بخت میرا جو محبت میں رسا ہو جائے
میری تقدیر مدینے کی فضا ہو جائے
baḳht merā jo mohabbat meñ rasā ho jaa.e
merī taqdīr madīne kī fazā ho jaa.e
اک رند ہے اور مدحت سلطان مدینہ
ہاں کوئی نظر رحمت سلطان مدینہ
